THERMO VIRTUAL LAB & TRADE SHOW VIDEO
Concept/Copy/Music Supervision
- The One Show - 2004 Interactive
Awards - AIGA BONE Show - 2003 - Best of Show
Target Audience: Scientists
The fifth largest company in the world and the leader in Life & Laboratory Sciences. The Virtual Lab was part of an interactive environment I concepted for a booth at the Pittcon 2003 Trade Show. I also wrote three websites that were part of the show and played Music Supervisor, working with Brian Emrich (Reqiuem for a Dream, Matrix 2, Pie).
Strategy: Instead of beating people over the head with club music and flashing lights, lure them in with a powerful calming oasis; ambient music, low lighting, and so on. Make them curious while making the competition look like used car salesmen.
It worked. The booth generated over 3000 leads, the client was ecstatic and the piece got a One Show Merit.
